You are not covered by normal insurance, but you can take out special cover, as you would expect premiums are probably pretty high though.

If it really worries you that much, you would probably be better off with a hire bikes at £195 i think that is prety good VFM when you consider you are using their tyres and fuel!!!

If you get bitten by the bug after that and realise that you don’t HAVE to crash at a trackday then you might want to consider doing another on your own bike :)

thats weird - I only said that because the first time I looked at the clip it came up as the one of the guy who got clipped by the car on the road as he pulled into the layby - Ive just looked again and now see the track day crash video :?

Thing about hiring is, probably sounds sad but me n my bike have got a bit of thing going... I feel she would be upset and hurt if I left her parked up while I went and played with another...it just wouldnt be right! :wink: But seriously I like the feel of my bike, I would get the most out of the day itself by doing it on my own bike ... anyway in the mean time I shall enjoy watching your vids! :)

Your connection with your bike is a little disturbing ;) but there is truth that I think you are LEAST likely to crash (own fault) on your own bike, as we all ‘know’ our own bikes, hop on a hire bike and everything is different!! But a hire bike does take away the worry of hurting your pride and joy!! :P

there is no mention of excess with focused. Had a mate hire one and they never mentioned it to him when he actually booked either. A phone call should give the definitive answer mind!!

three without a crash now. oddly enough I have discovered that not riding like an idiot helps somewhat ;-)

even if you do have a crash - which you won't if you're sensible - the bikes have all been down a few times already so you're not going to get charged for scratched bodywork, only for what is damaged - maybe a lever or a footpeg - and even if you total it - which you won't - then you're only liable for the excess
