Im not so sure about that. Reading this: makes me think that if MidgetMoose cant id them Im sure his mates can. The problem will be if none of his mates with him can agree or identify them THEN they have problems.

I have a friend who was in a simular situation, except he was in hospital for a good few weeks, and took 6 months to learn how to walk properly again..

he never saw his attacker, the bouncers for the pub pleaded plain dumb... and the video tapes for the CCTV of the pub 'went missing' that night....

Police CCTV vision of the scene was covered by a tree in the area... no one was ever arrested, or questioned about it, as the bouncers KNEW who did it, but police couldnt do anything about it...

he got a large payout.. but, he was lucky to be able to walk again.

Bloody hell :shock: You lot need some sort of paramilitary! Restore a bit of law and order!

You won't get compensation if the bas**rds get a sentance, but gotta get them infront of the judges first.

heh, in court for ABH on thursday apparently. police have told the other two witnesses there not needed. I however haven't heard anything since they took pics. I'll be ringing them later to see whats going on.

No ID parade though so i assume they will have admitted it....

As for paramilitaries... there were bouncers across the road but they failed to move, maybe if they had guns they might have bothered :P although thats a scary thought.

I think if the people ARE convicted then he will get compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board*

*if he applies and if he waits six million years for it... not sure if he gets it if no-ones convicted though but I was actually told by the case worker in my case I would be contacted at some point by them following the conviction of the driver that assaulted me.

I assume that he is in court to plea only, initial hearing? Witnesses are not required for a plea, if he pleads guilty then you won't have to give evidence, if he goes not guilty that's when the witnesses are required.

Let's hope he saves the tax payers money and goes guilty, be nice to see justice done.
