Hiya and Welcome
|
'Ello. Congrats on passing your test and choice of bike.
Riding into London eh... ... rather you than me - even after 19 years I'll stick with my country roads and sunny days. I've earned it. |

Wouldnt be the 1st time I have flipped my mirrors back (Pointy SV) to go a-filtering - some transits have mirrors at JUST the wrong height. Anyway, welcome and enjoy, David |

Personally, I prefer to either give a little wiggle (dip left right) to avoid mirrors, or I'll fold their mirrors in as I ride past. Cage drives (and esp White Van Men) don't use them anyway. And I don't commute in London! I did wind the Mrs up once by telling her I'd accepted a job as a dispatch rider in Paris though! |
Welcome! Nice to see you've decided to stop lurking and turn over ..... a ..... New Leaf.

G'day!!! :smt039

Besides - flip mirror back, pass stupid cage/van, flip mirror forwards - usually only done when stuck between 2 vans where another 5mm would be good, then flip it/them back once passed but before picking up speed again - and at about 5mph if that :) Was trying to make myself sound all cool and edgy :P Tho I did once see someone with a Gixxer (and a top-box) riding with their mirrors back for a good distance (ie the where back when they caught up to me and still back when they turned off the road...) For your next assignment Mr Baph, automatic, just press a button mirror flippers :) |
