Here is mine
http://upload4.postimage.org/1588717/DSCF0042.jpg http://upload4.postimage.org/1588729/DSCF0045.jpg It is pretty big, large double garage. Has a shed at the back (as part of building) and a small workshop (about 8ft x 6ft) at back of car space. Room to park bike, kayaks and two cars in main space. (ground anchor built into slab!) Roof space has steel purlins rather than trusses so roof space is entirely clear and 10 ft high at the ridge. Super strong doors with multi point locking added quite a bit to the cost. A deluxe garage, but I had the opportunity to do it, so I did. About 22K+VAT |
You could always look at a precast job delivered and erected onto a ready-laid concrete base.

I had a concrete sectional one put in my back garden 8'6" x 16' a few years ago the base was done by me and the girlfriends dad that came to £750 then the garage from crompton garages who supply all over the country cost £1500 I opted for side hung double doors because only bikes go in only one side opens.

Don't rule out the pre-fab ones on size. They go in 2' chunks on width & length.
I've just had one installed 11' wide x 24' long (IIRC) and I also got mine with a 4' sided hung door at the back and a pitched roof which loooks better than the flat ones IMO. I'd been quoted £12k for a brick built garage got this for about half that Check out http://www.comptonbuildings.co.uk/ good luck |
