As your new to biking may i suggest some crash bungs/bobbins. You can't go wrong with with R&G or Motosliders (which I have). Will help in a spill and gives piece of mind. I had a stationary drop a week after picking mine up, and the only damage was a very slight scuff to the bar-end.

A rear hugger will help extend the life of the rear shock buy limiting the amount of crud thrown at it

Definitely go with a set of crash bungs/bobbins/frame sliders. Both the ones over the engine and the swingarm bobbins. Very cheap insurance, I already was saved by mine when I did something stupid on a gravel road. :oops: No damage. Add Vortex to the approved list, though I don't know if they sell them in the UK. R&G and Motosliders are highly regarded.

PS: There is nothing wrong with silver, a silver SV looks very attractive, as does black. I only went with Yellow because yellow has a lower coefficient of friction, so, gives all yellow SVs a small advantage in acceleration and top end speed over the "other" colours. 8) We won't talk about red, blue, or copper; this is a family site.

I would just like to point out that the SV's 'on paper' 0-60 is 3.2 seconds!

I average around 46mpg mixed riding.

its a close fitting rear wheel fenda that helps to keep crud from off the underneath of your bike and rear shocker.

usually alloy and nylon posts that bolt to your frame and they hit the floor first when you drop it.

i fitted a fender extender to my k6, then noticed suzuki have *finally* acknowledged the problem. They've fitted a rubber protector/flap that sits in front of the front cylinder. but it will help prevent stone chips :)
enjoy! (just take it easy in this weather- the back end kicks out easily! ... or maybe thats my riding style :P )

my k3 had that crap flap on the front but it fell off and i lost it :roll:
