Surely this can be done in MS, or is MS proving itself inadequate yet again? I know a win32 version of diff exists, so it's just a matter of spitting out the configs.

You may well be able to, I've never claimed to be a Windows Server buff (and this isn't technically my job) so if anyone knows a way to do the above it would be very helpful.....

We had alot of problems with ISA2004 at work, rolled it back to ISA2000 or 2002 I forget as I wasn't directly involved which is alot more stable from all accounts

Policy Backup, that will export an XML file. Do it on both ISA2 & ISA3, then compare the files for the missing bit of configuration.

May look at the suggestions in a bit, but looks like the bloke in charge of it has got a solution from spending the last 2 hours or so of his life on the phone to Microsoft tech support :laughat:
