especially 5 for £25 on checkabike if you're shopping around (and a quality report). Instigator :thumbsup:

you really do need the engine, chassis and the v5c number in the top right circle on the front of the reg certificate,at the very least, they are not very insistant on all this, will take your money but without all the info you cant claim if it all goes wrong. I was the victim of a cloning scam, the engine and chassis numbers had been changed and matched the log book which was a forgery, quite a few blanks having been stolen from dvla,the number in the circle sort of ties all the info together. i lost the car and £10500 so be careful, my thieves have been caught and are awaiting trial and there is a vague chance of getting some money back but it has to be shared with the other 70 victims

the mcn one is very detail'd, it wanted all that info and evan the v5 issue date.
