Indeed it is.. Been there a few times years back, was always a good night never any trouble. Not really my thing now though.

I had an ace night out in Bristol a while back, I cant remember what pubs we went to because I was mashed, I think we ended up in Toad though.

Your initial description sounds like walking down whiteladies road towards the triangle & park street. But it's hard to tell. Mainly from the mix of restaurants interspersed with bars.

Basically the waterfront is a big row of bars with big clubs & a casino at the end. It's also quite close to King St ( normal pubs and ) and the corn street area (different sort of bars ) if you don't like what you find and want a change.
