the old choice.. flat battery, risk it not starting in the petrol station or see how far you can get on no fuel..

answer... ride to the nearest tesco petrol station as they have breakdown cover.

Well all I can say is... you live and learn.

Then come to work in the car...

I have only two words for this. One is Ha.

The very first ride I took my SV on, I flattened the battery in the middle of nowhere on a sunday, out of mobile phone range. I considered torching it to act as a beacon. But funnily enough, the very first car to come along gave me a jump. Once we figured out how to get the seat off...

Oh, nearly forgot. The other one's Ha as well.

Similar to this happened to me this week on the ER-5, i know the batts dodgy, but if its on an optimate all night its got enough juice to start in the morning and at nigt to get home, well i went to the off licence on the way home, and it wouldnt start after. Grrrr. so i walk home to get the jump pack, walk back and the thing starts first time without the jump pack, BUT the bungey ropes are under the seat, which i need the key to open!! needless to say afteri had turned the engine off and got the bengey ropes out and attatched the jump pack to the back of the bike, it wouldnt start GRRR!!

Well I hope I cheered you all up with my escapade's from last night... Everyone at work had a good laugh and so did a customer I called up this morning when he asked about my bike.
