Some of the views in this post only show that you haven't a clue.

Ever struggled with anything? Especially anything that's gone so far?

I'm only 2st overweight and short of starving myself I can't seem to shift it.

In which case she is relying on her family to feed her. So why can't her husband simply give her normal quantities of healthy food?

I am overweight now, have been several stones heavier than I am now, have struggled with my weight all my life, losing and putting it on again, eating disorders, does that make me a fat stupid lazy cow then?

Hey dude,

There's a big difference between a couple of stone and 30 stone overweight.

Weight loss is difficult, sure, but putting on that sort of weight is irresponsible, stupid and takes a lot of eating.

Lee.

Deserving enough to have people call her 'fat cow' in such a nasty way?

It's just not on guys.

If anyone in my family got so fat that they couldn't leave the room, I'd stop taking food in to them. The problem would soon resolve itself. I've lost weight before (and put it back on) and know it's not easy to lose, but puttin that amount of weight on takes an awful lot of inactivity and an awful lot of eating.

I remember reading about research about 18 months back that suggested there isn't really a medical "excuse" for obesity and that it is just greed and a lack of willpower.

2 stone overweight is a bit differant from this

why should the tax payer fork out £5000 a week so she can go to a "clinic" its a waste of money........... make her pay for it, if she insists on going

IMO and experience greed is an offensive word for eating disorder which is actually a mental health issue - couple that with the modern society which shoves junk food and ready meals in yer face and what have you got?

I know it's hard to lose weight but it can be done, and I have done in the past. My weight goes up and down and has done for most of my life and it isn't because I'm lazy, I exercise pretty much every day - I just like food. Hell, I'm dieting and exercising now to lose weight, simply because I like food and eat too much so I put weight on. I hate how I look and always have done so I do something about it - I don't blame anyone else. I'm sorry but there is no excuse for getting to that size and I can't believe she's pointing the finger at the NHS. They'd tried to help her in the past and she just ate again and put the weight back on.
