I've got a CBR600F (year 2000 model - carbs, not FI), fantastic bike, really enjoying it, it's not the latest ss600 but it's still better than I am in the handling and acceleration stakes, and it's got plenty of underseat storage so is practical too.

Get a CBR600RR if you don't need to keep your sarnies under the seat.

See here for a good CBR forum.

That's why I'd get one. I eat like a pig so large amounts of sarnie space is what I need. Especially for my long 11 mile commute. Always need a sarnie stop:rolleyes: ;)

Just about all of them have their moments..

For that "on track" sharpness & feel (and of course, reliability) go for the 600RR, for practicality take the CBR600F.

The Kwak has the benefit of a slightly bigger engine, giving it the edge on mid-range. The Suzuki is a great machine and probably the best all rounder (especially the '04 bike).

The only one I'm not too sure about is the R6, I think you either love them or hate them....

Don't forget the Triumph Daytona either... Great handling bike, good looks, fairly roomy and although the performance isn't quite that of the Jap 600's, it's still a quick bike.

Go to a dealer and try a couple if you're serious.

I'm not too keen on the R6 either. If anthing, I prefer the 02 model to the 03.

I know the Gixxers are a good bet but my mate has one and, strangley, I didn't see a single 04 bike for sale on Biketrader.

Been looking at RR pictures and think I might be falling for it. :smt050

I think it's going to be between the ZX6R and a CBR.

Anyone know of dealer in Manchester that will allow test rides on used stock?

If you want to turn a CBR600F into a headbanger like the 636, all you have to do is break the rear shock :)

Daytona 650 any day:D Do you really want a rice burner - if they didn't have the name on them you couldn't tell them apart;) No, thought you didn't.

Here's mine

probably makes good toasted sarnies though

I'd love an RR though. an '05 or later though, they tuned a little more midrange back into them. & USD forks - because I'm a tart :-D
