Am I missing something here? Can't you just unbolt the exhaust?

Indeed you can, although a Mr Suzuki fitted the SV with a one piece system you'll have to buy headers, if you want to change only the can you have to cut it.

Cheers Mark.

Seems a bit of a butchery job to me, I thought the faired SV had two piece pipes with the join at the silencer and it was only the unfaired one (like mine)with the join before the 2 into 1 section. I would have thought it would be better to keep the original system in one piece for refitting before sale, or even sell it on eBay to raise the money for the can and downpipes!

(Oh and total cost approx £5)

You must have looked like popeye by the time this was done! I only had to hacksaw the last 1/2 inch and that was bloody hard work!

I am only up the road from you ..
Butt Lane.. near red bull lights..

you can borrow my grinder if you wanna save the dosh !.. no problems.. mind u £15 is a bargain.. itll cost u £5 in petrol to get to me and back huh!.

Thanks v much for the offer Quiff I've got a £10 Halfords voucher sitting around at moment though, so that's why i thought i'd buy one, using that will only cost me £5. Then i could probably sell the grinder after the jobs done or keep it for all those Angle Grinding jobs i've been putting off for ages!!

angle grinder sparks are fun !.

plus u could grind your knee sliders..

and they are especially useful for grinding off the padlock to the shed if you lose your key !...

(as long as the angle grinder isnt locked in the shed.. .. which of course it usually is)

Yes, I have been there. Now the owner of two angle grinders. Lost the keys to my shed and though what I need right now is the angle grinder to cut the lock of the door. Of course it was sitting on the shelf in the shed.

 I have given my neighbour my spare set of keys for the new lock. So also no need for keeping my other one in the kitchen.

Tell Kim to watch the space, a new picture will replace this one soon.
