We got a nod from a guy on a Duke when we were filling up the car with petrol. I thought for a minute "Hey, we must really look like bikers azll the time". Then I realised that John was wearing his Suzuki T-Shirt!!!!

Tis true!

I only wave/nod if I'm carrying my helmet, just in case they think I bat from the Pavillion End.

Slight derail alert...

When I was a very small lad, and my mum took us out walkies she used to get us to wave at passing fire engines. Now, with hindsight, I realise my mum just fancied firemen and getting the kids to wave made it cute :) However, when you're drilled into doing something at such a young age such habits are hard to break....

I get a very different response when waving at firemen these days....

All the time, but i seem to only get a response from sports bike riders, have yet to get a response from BMW/Adventure riders or cruisers. Their loss, really. As my ma' says "manners don't cost anything".
