Cheers Mark.

Sorry! DOn't take offence; I used to get alot of stick from the MCN forums when I rode about on my scooter, and that was my reply!

I miss my speedfight, shame my dad ploughed it into the back of a car :(

Scooters are ace when i get enough money im gonna get one again.

An guy i used to know had a Gilera runner 180. He had a 210 kit put on it, 21mm car and air filter, PT tuning exhaust, gear up kit and a multivar pully.

After been set up on the dyno he took it to the track and it would do 1/4mile in 14 secs. 0-6 jst under 6. Top speed was 121mph

Now how would u feel if u pulled up in your Audi S3 and that thing left u at the lights.

Gutted.

Sorry, but they still scare me, trying my best to ignore the impending doom feeling, it's not what it is, it's what it allows me to do.

Oh and anyone know anything about rollers and spring thingys ? like to get rid of the "turbo lag" if possible.

Cheers Mark

Rolers and springs on scooters?

If so yeah. The springs are in the clutch and the harder the spings the later it kicks in. i.e. hard springs=scoot wont move till say 5k rev but will go like ****e of a shovel. Soft springs=will move at lower revs meaning slower acceleration.

Roller ive forgoten about its bee a few years but i think the concept is the same the heavier the rollers the later that the rear pully moves out and so revs more. Lighter roller the oposite effect.

I think any way.

so what's best for the "turbo lag" effect then, stiffer spring or heavier rollers or both ?

Anna sorry for the :offtopic:

Rictus

U need softer clutch springs that y u getting the lagg. It has to build up revs before the springs will open.

Try softer ones and it should be ok

Shame ur in London theres a mint scooter race garage in Leeds they would sort it :p

Try softer springs think a set of springs by "molossi" is only about 20 quid and u set 3 sets ( soft, medium and hard) play about with um.
