While it's sad that someone has passed away I can't help but be a little worried. Just think how dangerous he could've been behind the wheel of a large car! Amazes me still that there is no retest for old peeps.

Biker dies from excitement..............let me guess, he was not riding a Hornet. ;)

Sorry Dan, could not resist.

Oh, and at least the old boy had the conviction to give it a go. R.I.P

Anyone can have a heart attack/stroke/other sudden illness precipitating an accident, any time at any age so a retest in that regard would be pointless.

Poor guy though, goes to show you should do what you want while you can...at least he went doing something he enjoyed...RIP :(

Steve..............don't go there! :)

need2ride: Okay so my argument was not well written, but it makes it no less valid. Old people should be retested, period. Old people with weak hearts probably should not be riding at all. My point I guess was in this case, imagine the carnage if he'd been in a car. But alas, he was not. If it were me though I'd want to go out on a MV Augusta F4 or something sexy.

Nah, he should be able to invoke the "till death do us part" clause and tell her where to go :)

He died happy. Unless of course the last thing that he saw was a Land Rover coming towards him knowing that he was going to die......
