I really like Boris. Hate his politics, mind, but he's intelligent and more importantly independant, and he's got immense political integrity. He's never hidden the fact that he's not a natural Tory, just that they happen to be the closest he can find to anyone that agrees with him- that's a seriously awkward position to put yourself in, but he owns it. Makes him a terrible politician, inasmuch as a poitician's job these days is to go on TV and smarm people, and never actually have an opinion of their own... But he's the exactly the sort of person I'd like to have actually in power.

Read his book, Jottings from the Stump. It's absolutely ace. Very funny, but also very clever and insightful. The Ow Ow Please Stop Hitting Us political strategy actually worked, too.

Agreed....talks a lot of sense! I wonder how long it would take if he were sworn in before the real power people brainwashed him into their way of thinking. Did you notice the change in GWBush from his election campain upto today....the transformation is amazing. Boris already sounds a bit confused....can you imagine what he could end up like? A jibbering wreck just like Bush!:smt090

Id like to know his policies on bike parking,use of bus lanes,conjestion charging and spiralling council tax bills before I vote for him.Does he actually have any policies on anything for London,or is he just an amusing public school toff with a bit of attitude?
