I'll be looking for something faired then! I will be using the bike for commuting and the odd blast. I have just aquired an old banger for when the weather is really bad but by the sounds of it I don't fancy going naked... shame because I really really want a superduke :'(

Simple answer is to test ride different bikes and decide for yourself.......you may love the naked

I ride a 125 *ahem*cruiser*ahem* at the moment with no fairing on the front. Granted it only does 60 with a tailwind downhill, but the screen it comes with only threw the wind up to the top of my helmet.
Combined with a relaxed riding position, I simply couldn't have the screen on! Now I get soaking wet, but at least I don't have permanent neck strain... Ride them both, and make sure the guy you're with knows you want to check wind effects; he might be inclined to take you to "this quiet little road he knows..." ;) |
