Totally agree - life's too short to waste it being unhappy...

Didn't say that I was unhappy or that I wasn't doing anything about it.

I argee with the sentiment. Thoguh going to the dentist the other day has made me appreciate that I shouldn't put stuff off.

Change is good

+1 to change - but you gotta be motivated to change. Finding the motivation can be hard too. Especially with distractions like the .org etc...

I like my job, I'm out of the office alot, I drive about alot, every day is generally different, when I'm in the office I can have a quick browse on here now and then.

My only gripe is I would like to get paid more and be given a better car more suited to my role.......but then who doesnt want both of those lol......I guess it will come with time :(

I often get unhappy being a student. Undefined hours (normally stretching right into the evening, and working at weekends), lots of debt, being frowned upon for bieng a tax-dodger.

Last year, I nearly gave up and wanted to become a firefighter. And I would have, had I not had good results in my exams and found an excellent project to pursue this year.

My job is great, I am employed by the government to sit at home and play on the games console and drink beer. They also give me a house and money to look after my 7 kids. The only down side is I have to go via the Post Office before popping down the pub to play darts. All cos I have dodgy leg, but its not bad when I do a bit of cash in hand work for Seamus.

Isn't England great! ;)

I felt exactly the same as a student. Stick with its as its worth it 110%.

After my first year I applied for the easy way out (police/fire service). Decided to stick with it.

During my second year exams I thought about giving in again, but the thought of letting down my parents, the cost entailed and letting my self down kept me at it.

All through my final year I wanted to quit and simply knew that I couldnt.

Every year I came out of the exams knowing I had done crap, I even had to resit an exam at the end of year two....however I NEVER revised.

My final year I revised like i have never done before and came out of every exam feeling amazing, and I got amazing results because of it (Wish I had done that my whole life now). Then the feeling after the final exam is outstanding, the relief, the worry of results, no other feeling I have felt is like it.

Stick With it.

Join the retained at your local station, you get a small wage plus when you go on shouts. You can still study at the same time. Worth looking into I reckon!
