Nope you can run with the SV lines, I was originally running mine with 6yr old badly bled rubber hoses and it still felt better! (although the original calipers were partially seized)

GSXR brake adapter plates

:) Hi everyone, The Brake Caliper Adapter Brackets to run the GSXR 4 pot calipers, and the 4 pot SV1000 calipers on our SV650 Generation One, and Generation two bikes, are in stock, and available for shipping to you right away,

Let me know whenever you are ready for them by emailing me at b.layton@svracingparts.com and I will look after you right away,

The riders on SVrider.com are posting very favorable reviews, and I have put my race bike up onto the podium in every race since I installed them.

They really transformed my braking, by allowing me to brake harder, later, to trail brake through the corners going faster, and increased my sense of control under braking,

Enjoy the ride, and best regards,
Blair

so as long as it's a 4 pot caliper it doesn't matter which K model GSXR it is? And for temporary you can run with the brake lines on the SV as it is?

Re: GSXR brake adapter plates

I see you have a K6 SV you will be fine with standard brake lines although braided hoses will make a good difference to the set up.

Needs to be the 600 or 750 calipers

Hi

I am interested in these adaptors but before buying I want to have a look to find out how much I can get the callipers for?

Are they radial? Again, like fallenangel I would like to know which gsxr calipers can be used.

Thanks

You will need these calipers...

GSXR750 00-03, GSXR600 01-03 Or any SV thousand (all are 4 pot calipers). You could also use the bigger 6-pot calipers from a K1-K2 GSXR thousand, but don't, they're heavier and no better. The easy way to think of it is that it's any GSXR after the SRADs, but before they got the radial calipers as they have now.
