You can claim from your insurance. Insurance companies put into a central fund to cover incidents like this ,plus uninsured or untraceable vehicles.First make sure you have protected bonus and it is deemed a non-fault accident,thus not effecting your premiums when renewal time comes round.

OK, its a bit of hassle but if you pay for it yourself first, and claim aswell you at least have a chance of geting your money back.

Mac that is all fine if the claim is expensive but it is only a creased wing which can be repaired or replaced for a lot less than £350 which is her excess.

Tony,Yes agreed but I was always under the impression that if you are fully comp and the accident wasn't your fault your insurance company used the fund to refund losses without affecting your insurance. I may be wrong but is worth asking.

well i just paid for it myself. looks ok, not great but the door opens now - bonus
