Re: What was he doing wrong???
Will be interesting to see the upshot of this Dcip.Im probably out of date, but I thought police dcip cases were held on semi judicial principles where they actually had to prove the offense against the officer as compared to cases in other civvy workplaces where they only need to get a "manager" to say "I believe you are guilty" and pack your bags and go.
If that is the case there will be a very full and thorough investigation into the crowd control practices, training and command/orders on the day.I will be very surprised if a great deal of that is allowed to come out in public though. |

Re: What was he doing wrong???
no i'm not going to 'wind my neck in'
so its ok to push someone in front of a bus is it? as from what i seen on the video Mr Tomlinson had his hands in his pockets which to me is the same thing in my book. and i'm not tarring PO's with the same brush i'm tarring one certain PO for abusing his position. i think the police do a splendid job most of the time. yes it is power hungry plod like him that get the police force a bad name. Q. why dont you hit people wearing glasses in the face? A. as you might blind them with broken glass. Q. why dont you push people with their hands in their pockets? A. as you might kill them as they cannot protect themselves from the fall. and the definition i think is 'culpable homicide' but i might be wrong... again. i'll stop now as i'm starting to get a bit 'heated' LOL. must keep calm...................... rofl |
Re: What was he doing wrong???
Yes, but Culpable Homicide is Scots Law, not English. In England they would have been looking to pursue Manslaughter and as I don't know the definition of Manslaughter, then I don't know exactly what the CPS would have to prove.
I know the definition of Culpable Homicide and what the Crown has to prove for that but that is irrelevant. I never said what the idiot did was right, none of us on here have. But I still don't get how you can compare it to pushing someone infront of a bus? That would be murder, not even manslaughter! |

Re: What was he doing wrong???
he had his hands in his pockets and the PO knew this and knew the consequences of doing such a thing. if he never knew what happens when you push someone with hands in their pockets (with such force) he should not be on the force. weather it be a bus or a pavement he pushed Mr Tomlinson to his probable death.
tiz ok now. i have had my happy pills (just waiting for them to kick in).... rofl |
