Re: Ar11
Is there onsite or local beds for the non campers Ed?
|
Re: Ar11
Not onsite, no. There are some B&Bs nearby and more in Shrewsbury.

Re: Ar11
Ed I've put my name forward to help in any way I can for the PM bid and I'll do the same here seeing as I'm close to both groups. :)
I remember the site from AR06 although I only came down for the day - it seemed nice and I remember the rideout being a great one as well as the MM rideout and the NW rides I've been on, so there's plenty of good roads around. One thing that occurred to me though - were you thinking of using the layby at Ford again for the start point again cos I remember it being pretty full at AR06 and I'm not sure it'd handle the number of bikes we attract nowadays. Also I've volunteered for TEC for the PM ride if it goes ahead as I know the roads around there pretty well. I'll volunteer for TEC for your route as well but I admit I don't know the roads that well so I might not be the ideal person to do it. Let me know if you need me anyway... :D |
Re: Ar11
Yo Andy
Nope not using the Ford layby. It's home to Dinky's Diner. Personally I don't like the place. And getting out onto the busy A458 isn't easy. There are better options, IMHO. We'd probs start at the campsite - there's a huge hard standing area there. |
Re: Ar11
I've put this link into the IB AR11 thread, but thought this might be useful here as well. Even if it's not for the AR but other rideouts.

Re: Ar11
Sounds good Ed. I can't commit to help run it, I've enough going on in my life at the mo and I'd hate to commit and then fail to deliver, but I'll help were and when I can.
