Not 100% correct, depends if you declare it to your insurer and that you mention its a race can. My insurer is fully aware that my M4 full system is fitted and that it is categorised as a race exhaust system, its written on my certificate and I am 100% fully insured. Same with the GSXR front end and bored out engine.

My advice is to always declare the mods of you bike. I was stationary and hit from the side by a car a few years back, the police were suspect to my GSXR front end and brakes even though I was stationary and my breaking never came into the equation.

Exactly, but with a shattered ankle, tib and fib its hassle you could do without.
