Those Stebel Magnums are stupid loud. I recently fitted one to a friend's FZ6 and couldn't believe the noise from it.

no.............

you need to fit a relay (you dont have to, but it could fry everything)

It would fry the electrics in pretty short order, the Stebel draws quite a lot of current.

On the FZ6 it's really awkward because there's nowhere up front to mount the whole heavy horn/compressor as a unit, so I split the heavy compressor from the featherweight horn and modified them both to accept a link pipe that ran from behind the engine (where I'd sited the compressor) to inside the fairing where I hung the horn off the inner fairing brackets. The wiring was a doddle with the relay sitting on top of the battery right up under the front of the fuel tank. I used heat-shrink on all the cabling and proper Lucar connectors with rubberised shrouds to make it look as factory fitted as possible. The link pipe was a long bit of black rubber vacuum hose I got from the local car parts shop - that doesn't look out of place on the bike either.

I haven't had a good look at an SV to see if it can be mounted in one piece inside the fairing, but I'll let you know tomorrow.

BluePete has twin air horns mounted inside his pointy fairing.
