Re: Official rain thread
Sorry to make matters worse folks, but just the other day I read a report stating that they anticipate one of the wettest year's ever in the U:K: for 2008! Jeez you have my sympathies.

Re: Official rain thread
I haven't seen a dry road since November, except one day between xmas and new year, despite a dry weekend, the roads still never dried up. Kept my bike on the road thinking that we might get a few dry clear days, now pi$$ed off and thinking that when my bike tax runs out at the end of November I'm gonna SORN it and move to "theft from garage only" insurance for 4 months.

We are on flood watch as usual, but I am not afraid. Poor sv is taking a hammering though :(

Re: Official rain thread
Hasn't seemed to stop raining here for weeks.
We live pretty high up, no chance of getting flooded out, but the River Avon looks ready to go. If it does, I won't be able to get to work, which would be really, really, really sad:p Seriously, though, I feel very sorry for those people who were flooded last year, and now face the same threat again.:( |
Re: Official rain thread
It was a 50-50 day today for me. Soaked to the bone on the ride in to leeds this morn, dry-ish for the ride home. Can't really complain tho, I could take the cage or pushbike/train, but i still go for the sv as it's so easy and quick to get anywhere.
