Hmph. I love hawes. The LOVERLY roads the quality breakfast when you get there! Loadsa bikes on a good day. Really amazing sights... :D

Well, I got there at 1.30 having stopped a couple of times to fiddle with preload and damping settings and there were a distinct lack of Orgers there :) The roads were dry after Leyburn and very quiet. Had a good old ride. Went a bit further than Hawes after a cuppa and then headed back (with an extra 4 PSI up front and 3 PSI in the rear. and an extra tenners worth of fuel in the underslung tank. Much better!).

The roads were dry and empty and the 650 single was on the 8000 RPM red line all the way home. Sweet!

Still needs alot more setting up on the suspension but managed to get to the edge of the rear Michelin Hi-Sports despite the pogo-ing and lack of reat damping. Got rid of the square on the rear tyre too. Not bad for only 48 BHP :)

Bike now washed and wrapped up all snuggly again. Might head out again towards the end of the week.

I would have come out to play but read this thread too late and was late back from mountain biking. Hope your italian thoroughbred holds up to the salt better than a Suzuki. Much mud on the way to Hawes?

Hi Tim, There was the odd Stertch but easy enough to get through. Bridge still closed at Middleham so tried a couple of diversions.

I've got a trade show this coming weekend and I'll be away from Friday but could be up for a ride on Thursday.

Im hoping the weather is decent for next weekend. I was contemplating coming out but then thought better of it when I saw that the WSB was on Eurosport so spent a couple of hours watching that.
