Im no chemist either but again In my opinion, the temperature of a tyre carcass and rim will be enough to make the tyre construction work, ie, from the inside out. A tyre grips, not by the outer rubber being ultra sticky but by the tyre construction moulding itself to the undulating surfaces and being able to move around a quickly changing surface.
