Blondie - Parallel Lines.
For me the raw sound of vinyl beats any mp3..... Still got about 100 LP 12in and 10in in the loft. Can't bear to part with them, every single one tells a story...... And rumour has it its about to make a comeback..... |
Re: first vinyl.
why don't we throw all the vinyl away, we'll never play them again because we've updated it all. its because its our link to our youth, the first kiss, the first round of drinks, the first night in a cell. as the song says 'I'd much rather be forever in blue jeans'.

Re: first vinyl.
The only reason I'm reading the 'org right now rather than sat down with the other half in front of the telly is that she too is transfixed by telly for the terminally gullible. Most B0llocks or whatever they call it. Blue Peter presenters running around screaming and saying "fook" whilst "psychic conmen" pretend they're being posessed by ebil spirits.
So I read the org and get possessed by my own ebil spirits, or bourbon as it's known on the streets. Back to the question. First vinyl. Was... Stand and Deliver by Adam and the Ants. It's a classic and you know it. You all secretly admire my superior audio credentials :D |

Re: first vinyl.
I think that my first vinyl single was Down Under by Men At Work, somewhere around 1983. I'm into rock, so I mostly bought albums and had very few singles. From 1987, I only bought CDs and rare vinyl.
