i think he said (forgot:oops:) they where BT021 for £160, he said they where very popular so i reckon he meant these, he either said that or BT04... or something.

I got some BT021s fitted today and they seem really good. Although its early days i would definitely recommend them. £160 fitted is a bloody bargain for these tyres so bite his hand off! Maybe he said BT014? They're good but not really what you want unless the bike is just a toy.

Go for the BT 021's - I have always used 020's up to now but 021's are even better. Fantastic grip and really good in the wet.
I can also recommend Pro Tyre in Fareham - they have always given me good service and are perhaps nearer to you.

Just to ask while on the tyre subject has anyone used Bike Tyres of Leeds? thought i'd give them a try.
I'm after 021s too. Someone said Avon viper sports? too much choice!!

014s are pretty cheap nowadays(compared to what they used to be) I certainly would not pay much more than £160 fitted for them.

They are part of the same group as Micheldever IIRC - advantage of Micheldever is they carry a bigger stock...........

Assuming that's ride in/out then that's a bloody good price!

Michelin Pilot Road 2s, Metzeler Z6s, Pirelli Diablo Stradas or Avon Storms...all better sports/touring tyres than 020s and similarly priced. I can personally recommend the Michelins, Metzelers and Pirellis.
