*EDIT* Has also had a tendency to not find Neutral easy unless I fiddle about ot turn the engine off ??????

Yep thats cause its got to much oil in it. Its quite a common reason for not being able to find neutral or a notcy gear change in general.

If you let oil out by undoing the sum plug, it will be rather painful putting it back in if the engine is hot.:)

True its also easy to drop the sump bolt in the oil catch tray to :smt022

Looks like we have found the culprit then , gonna go into Woods tomorrow , grab somebody by the ear and march them outside and point and say "Cure this or somebody gets a Knuckle Supper" :D

Cheers for the input everyone , will take her back after work tomorrow and will let you know the outcome of it all :D

No idea, but I over filled my own SV and my other halfs SV to. Both times the gearbox was orrible and notchy.

I'm not the only one thats noticed this either, plenty of people on here have done the same and noticed the notchy gearbox.

I used to use an old 5L oil container with a hole cut in the side. It was handy, as i could then decant the used oil into another container and screw the lid on it.

It was a proper **** when i dropped the sump plug into it though:(:(

Remember there's no real need to do this with the engine hot. Boiling oil is not nice!

Well the bike is under warranty , so I`ll drop it off at dealers tomorrow and they can lend me a courtesy bike for the day , or they can wait for the oil to settle and drain some out whilst I wait .
