i never understood quorn tbh, alone it looks and tastes like recycled paper, and when you cook it it just absorbs what you cook it with, so when you do bolognese sauce you get recycled paper that tastes like tomatoes:confused: |

Re: Veggi food cooking help!
to be honest, it's easy cooking for a veggie. The majority won't 'substitute' for meat, they'll just have normal meals bar the meat. Like a veggie stirfry. It's easy!

Those veggie eaters still need protein to stay healthy....
Use a juicer and process 2 lbs of sirloin, you'll get about 8 oz of meat-juice! Hmmmm meat-juice:smt040 |
Re: Veggi food cooking help!
some good suggestions there I think. I've been veggie fo 18 years now and find quorn mince works well in bolagnaise, chilli and my personal favourite shepherds pie (made with root mash containing my body weight in cheese).
If you cook the sausages, burgers etc I find drowning them in olive oil does a lot for the flavour. Make sure you use seperate utensils, pan everything for the veggie food coz we can be a funny bunch if you stir our food with a spoon covered in cow juice, which may upset your romantic aspirations...:smt070:pig::smt119 |
