Re: Biking Superstitions

i ride along pressing cancel on my indicator every 30 seconds just in case... last thing you want is someone pulling out of a side street because you forgot to cancel :(

also, i think the left glove first/right hand last is so you can fasten your helmet (if you're right handed). I always wear earplugs (since I'm deaf at the best of times... PARDON?)

I always put my phone in my inner right pocket and wallet in inner left - who knows? If not carrying my wallet I always carry a bit of real money just incase I can't use debit card.

thats about it? not really superstitions :)

I won't even consider the colour red. All three of my bike crashes have been on red bikes, and my one car crash was in a red car8-[

I also would never get on the bike without Larry..........sad, but true:rolleyes:

Anyone else as daft as I am?:D

I'm not superstitious but I did have fun with my last red car too. Got run in the back of 3 times, got reversed into once and got pulled out on just the once too, that's what eventually killed it. Oh, and it got nicked once and broken into twice. I don't miss that car funnily enough:)

There's a thing i've done since I was a child whenever I see an ambulance.

Mines left glove first - always. More of a habit than a superstition.

Years ago my father refused to buy a car because the three numbers in the plate were 666:D

They don't release any plates with those numbers now.

similar, but i tell maria i love her before going anywhere. Also, I feel odd getting on the bike from the exhaust side, its gotta be the sidestand side.

Wallet in right side, phone in left, keys on my inside pocket. Always.

And before I even think about picking up the petrol pump, i check i got cash in my wallet. Even if i know i got money there, i always check.
