Just to let you know (guessed you'd read here) I found what the starting issue was that I had before the rideout... the negative terminal on the battery had come lose :(

So its not the dodgy italian electrics... Aprilia's arnt bad ;)

So it's Italian build quality as oppose to Italian electrics? :p

Glad it's sorted anyway

Tsh... Just me not tightening it enough... or the 10K miles of vibration losening it. :(

Im glad too.

As for build quality this is better than any of the other bikes me or my old man have had. :p

Hows the little 125 going? Getting it fixored?

was it your first off moosey? not a nice feeling at all :( glad to hear you're ok and the bikes not too bad. I had a lowside at about 20-25 in march, stuffed the bike in my garage and didn't bother with it till may. Shattered the whole illusion of safety & stability if the roads are damp (on standard rubbers, anyway).

hope your confidence ain't too badly dented & you're not in too much trouble with mcn/yamaha

My 40mph ish off wasn't pleasant at all. I got the whole 'this is it' running through my mind just after "oh ****tt!" and just before 'no not my head' as my head smashed into the car and I heard the visor crack off and felt pain. It's a really surreal horrible experience. :(

However at present I just want my flipping bike running again!

dave two thousand and forty6, you are a true hero :)

mine was probably the luckiest off in the history of all time. No one else involved, no injuries whatsoever, picked the bike up and rode it home. Total, about £80 of damage inc bar ends, gear lever, footpeg and front indicator. Just made me realise how easily you can hit the deck without any slight indication that it's gonna happen

thankyou :takeabow:....although- why?!
I'm yet to have that worrying revelation (although I am a bit wary of it). My offs to date are from stoned distracted drivers, me being distracted (disputable) and impacting with cars (lots of damage <) and snow (don't ask lol...since this off I stopped riding in snow).

Sorry to hear bout your lil off, at least you're okay.

I hate this time of year, the roads are really sh1te.

I'm having to use my bike for work at the mo. I sort of blew up my Alfa engine 2 weeks ago, and it's still in the hospital, it's about to get a new heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A local back road is closed for repairs so I'm heading into darlo on the A66, there is one roundabout that I've had a "moment" on, on Weds, Thurs and Friday of last week!!!!!!!!!!!!, the stench of petrol/diesel or whatever it is, is really strong. Fortunately I've always been pretty slow due to the traffic, but just as I added a bit of the ole right wrist action I felt the back end start to spin up, I couldn't believe it when it did it again the next day, and the next.

Glad to hear you're ok liam. There's got to be a first time for everything. Keep your nostrils wide open for that lovely diesel aroma!! ps - falling off isn't so bad really, it's the hitting something solid and stopping suddenly that's not so much fun.
