Correct, although I would agree with Gr33k in that it is a fabulously engineered engine which did work, but as you said Biggles the cost was against it.

I'm still boggled at how you could seal oval rings. Amazing.

I wouldn't even pay £5k for it .... to me my £5k is better spent elsewhere to get 'more' bike ... but for a 'collector' £105k is not a silly price to pay ... I mean its totally unique ... and unlike a Rembrandt ... at least you could ride it if you really wanted ;)

I'd buy it for £105, thats a bargain ;)

It ain't unique though Blue, there are others in the world and UK. You are right, a serious collector would whip that up and make it there prized possession.

How did they solve the piston ring issue?

Id pay £5 easy :) They are a lot of bike. Especially considering when they were made.

If I had one id ride it tbh.

I wouldn't but not through choice. Insurance would go :smt044 when you tell them the value

Not really so ... insurance is more about your likelyhood of hitting/killing someone ... not the value of your bike ... hence why TPO insurance on a ratty 20yr old TZR250 is higher for a young noob than a fully comp 1098 is for a oldy ...
