Yeah the first time it happened I went to the fella at the shop. I remember reinstalling it again and it working, but because it has just been so long since it happened last I just didn't remember I could fix it like that

On the plus side, the original printer (that a housemate gave me in first year :D) now in the box that I bought this one in, so I could sell it on Ebay? Would have all the stuff with it, but seeing as I didn't pay anything for that one I'd be winning  Hmmm maybe, this would require effort on my part...:D

Anyhow, that's getting a little indepth for a problem that's now fixed. Never had any issues with my X series though (1160), other than it running out of ink & the ink aint cheap!

Yeah talking of ink, I've used a refill cartridge before and it used it for a bit then suddenly decided it didn't like it. I thought I''d try them out just because there about £15 cheaper than the Lexmark ones but don't now. When I bought the new printer it came with a Lexmark cartridge which was really what swayed me I must admit!!

Home refills aren't really liked by Lexmarks TBH.

There used to be a Cartridge World shop in Llandudno, used to forever be in there. Cost something like £6 to refill my £35 colour cartridge, and never had any issues. Once I remember it being £10 because he wanted to change the heads on the cartridge too to make sure it didn't gunk up.

Shame that shop closed really. :(

But yea, put the effort in, and you could sell the old printer you have. Might not be worth much though lol.
