I'm not particularly fond of walking in it, makes my knees ache.
I asked the school this morning what i should do if it really comes down overnight, as we live a walk away. The school secretary said, well obviously you don't live far, but most of the teachers don't, so we're really hoping that it doesn't end up only one of them getting in and having to teach the entire school, so its your call, I'd use a little common sense.

hmmmm....sledging :-)
LOVE the snow- worked a couple of seasons in the Alps, and am desperate to get back!

Unlikely we'll get any snow down here, but am in Rotherham on Friday night, so fingers crossed!! altho,....I am getting the train up, so I hope it doesn't stop trains!!!!
Since time immoral, trains have been stopped by the wrong sort of snow! Hope it doesn't affect you in your travels

I absolutely love the snow!!! can't get enough of it. ok it stops fun on the bike but the fun on my board makes u for it. I can be boarding up north in about 1.5hrs. good times!! I was actually tempted to go for a slide down my street at 2am the other morning cos of the snow!
but I can't belive how the country grinds to a halt after 1cm of snow.only a few years back we used to get decent snow for a couple of weeks down in central Scotland. but now everyone panics at the first site of it.

I ride everyday. Snow is just another hazard to contend with. I like it though because my kids love it. I got snowed in last year and couldn't get to work (shame) so spend the day playing in the snow with the kids instead. Which was nice. :)

You hero!! :)

I'd love to ride everyday but sometimes it's just too cold to ride. Perhaps I need heated grips or better gloves but the last couple of days my fingers have been in agony by the time I get to the office. It's the motorways that are the worst in this weather for temps, due to wind chill. Local riding is a peice of cake but my journey is 90% motorway.

Doesn't really bother me, I wish I had more experience in it though as coming home the other night with a bit of slush on the roads I had absolutely no idea what grip there was so was riding very slowly. The one thing I really don't like is my driveway, which is very steep, going up is alright but coming back down it can be a little bit dodgy.

Go down it backwards. Seriously. If the front starts to slide you have so much more chance of keeping it rubber side down.

The front slides if you go down it backwards in summer! You have to use clutch to slow back down or a bit of rear brake. No fun at all.

Makes sense I guess. What if my head was made of rubber?
