See the bit of braided coming out of the clutch cover? That will be linked to a catch can and probably returns the oil from the breather on top of the cam cover

cheers

not sure I total understand, but Im getting a grip of it!

Why would it be more difficult to get an SV set up like that? than an oil burner?

Re: air box removal questions

Because of the carbs, you have to mess around with the air jets, whereas with the gsxrs you just throw a dynojet kit at them and it's not half as complicated.

HOWEVER ... you have a pointy. So no carbs! No air jets to mess with... Try fit some and try get it remapped :-P

Won't be much point untill you have M4 or hindle headers though.

Pods arent popular over here, I'm not sure whether they're allowed in minitwins which would explain it. Zadar knows all worth knowing about it, including how to set them up.

oh right, I think they look great, cant understand why they are not more popular then if it dosent affect the running of the bike once it has been correctly set up. its defo a mod that takes my fancy (with other engine work ;))

Re: air box removal questions

You can't really see them on the SV, also slight drawback is they can get waterlogged. Again it's not something I have much experience with. My RD400 has them, but I didn't set them up they were already on the bike.

Yep, you need to make sure you take the pods off and treat them this helps waterproof them, as I have a mate who had them on his GS he rebuild. Had a long discussion about them with him, as he had the same warning about them getting water logged.

Re: air box removal questions

waterloged from rain, or from the cooling system? My brain says from the rain, so if you use it on a dry days only bike it wouldnt be a problem?

Would they be under the tank on the SV?
