All the new Brits, Kiyo on a mission (what a set of riders at Ten Kate), Bimmer and Prilia, wide open championship, some of the best circuits in the world, brilliant format still. Parkalgar is just magic, what a place, by the standards of new tracks they really cracked it with that one. |
Re: Kawasaki quit MotoGP
Haga on a ducati, Corser on a BMW Bayliss not running away with the series! what a year of racing its gonna be.

Re: Kawasaki quit MotoGP
Anyway...the loss of Kwak is a huge prestige loss to MotoGP. Although hardly a racing loss.
Interesting that Rossi is having a race in Qatar in WSB. Maybe Rossi thinks that WSB is now far more interesting. WSB is certainly the race and maybe Rossi wants a go. I bet the people of MotoGP are thinking bad thoughts. If Rossi goes to WSB or even thinks about it then MotoGP with its current financial difficulties could be very short. |
Re: Kawasaki quit MotoGP

Kawasaki hoping the bikes will be run by a privateer crew. Fingers crossed I guess. I don't know anything about riders though, since Marco and Hopper would have been contracted to Kwak. Still, at least there's hope of a larger grid than we may have feared. I wouldn't want to invest big $$ in running those bikes with no factory support though, here's hoping someone will, or at least Kwak make it so cheap that someone will. |
Re: Kawasaki quit MotoGP
It will be far cheaper for Kwak to ride MotoGP in 2009 and sit out 2010 and 2011. If they don't then Dorna will slap a big lawsuit on them so...remarkably...it looks like Kwak ARE riding in 2009.
Melandri and Alex Debon ....probably. Hopper left out. Couldn't make this stuff up! Also the rumours of Suzuki leaving are just that... |
Re: Kawasaki quit MotoGP
Right, i've just been confused.
Kwak are OUT of the 2009 season, yes. BUT There are still bikes available for private teams, so although there is no official Kwak team, there will still be brand new Kwak bikes on the grid. http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/J...ki+Ninja+ZX+RR |
