How's insurance work?
(Chances are both mine'll be running too) |
Re: Sunday 5th April 2009 Ride.
So long as you have the bike insured to be on the road, if he has CIHAGM insurance (aka Can I Have A Go Mate, TPO on bikes not belonging to the policyholder) it'll be fine.

I will contact my insurance and see what the cost is for having a named rider added for one day. |

You've probably got it? - My policy let's me ride other people's (insured) bikes (third party only) - be in the small print somewhere. |

but Nick doesn't have a bike policy - hence unlikely his car policy will cover him (although strangely mine with the NFU did cover me for bikes)

I have added people to car policies on a per day basis before for around £10 or £15. I can't see why it should be any different for bikes.

FOT sounds fine to me. I like the idea of being more adventurous and making a weekend of it, but maybe we could do that on another weekend?
I think it would be ideal if we can make this event so that it is easy for as many people to come as possible so the FOT works well for this purpose. |
