Re: Which weather website?
I usually check the metoffice first, then metcheck, BBC weather and then sky news.. The forecast is probably somewhere in between :)
Also, have a look outside at the clouds and feel the wind etc.. I remember a weather forecaster saying that around the equinox period (when clocks go forward or backward and when day & night are about equal in length) the weather tends to become very unpredictable which is why it might be warm one week and then snowy/stormy the next :) it'll pass |
Re: Which weather website?
Does anybody else find the new BBC weather page a bit much?
Yes there's a touch more info on the page than before, but it's about 50% less clear overall. Whatever happened to the beauty of simplicity, eh? And the beeb have so many bloody media events on every news page that it takes ages to load up? (admittedly, my web machine is an old G4 mac- but copes with most other things... 8Gb connection- OK it's BT so 4Gb in reality). I find that on these pages, my browser (Safari) tends to not even let me scroll down the page until Auntie has finished loading in the media. |
Re: Which weather website?
The BBC is useless for weather. There's three ways to access their forecasts (tv, teletext/red button and website) and they regularly tell three completely different stories.
Metcheck and Met Office for me. |
Re: Which weather website?
Most weather reports are based on met obs and information from the met office so i would go with that followed by the BBC. I'm a Coastguard and all the info we get is from them!
