Cheers Mark.

The CCM would be ace up there, but hard work riding it all the way up there from London.

Indeed my thoughts exactly, was with my brothers this time, but one has a DRZ, we thought we could stick them both in a van for the trip up there, base ourselves at Wasdale and play from there.

Cheers Mark.

b&b's or hostels are nuff cheap up there.. could make a bit of a weekend of it maybe? head up on the friday, arrive and proceed directly to restaurant/pub... next day, get up and go for a good long play in the valleys. Evening = arrive back at diggs and then head back to the pub. Sunday, bit of a sleep in, find some interesting roads for the way home and then set off back down to the london :)

is that also part of the route from the Hardy Bikers 2 rideout? :) and is the hardknot pass also known as "The Struggle"?

Nah the struggle is coming out of ambleside and it's the kirkstone pass IIRC

Hah I was laughing at all you pansies on your faired bikes. Wide handlebars and low gearing rule.

For myself and Orose it was a nightmare:(. Much much worse than the others(they didn;t have the probs we had) I'm pretty sure i've been up there on Suzy, much better geared, in fact I've been on silly roads worse than that on her up there...those that we were chatting about last night in fact....hmmm fancy a go up there when its a bit warmer and do a bit of a re-run? Just to get some practise in?

I'd like to tackle the route that we did on the Hardy bikers on her just to take note of the difference between the gearing.
