Re: Speeding Ticket Issue

I got 3 points for speeding when i was on my CBT ....

I have just passed my 33bhp licence so if i get 3 points now will i be banned or can i get 6 points then i will be baned ?

You will need 3 points to be banned. Your licence is your licence and that's what you incurr points on. The classifications of what you are allowed to drive/ride are then added to the licence as you pass the tests.

I was told that, I was only allowed up to 5 points and then its bye bye next one for the first two years. However, when I got my car licence those 2 years were reset I think :(

Anyone know if that is right?

Re: Speeding Ticket Issue

No its not correct. Your 2 year probabtion is only from the date first issued. Adding a car to your classification doesn't reset the two years.

Doesn't mean you can't...just there is a time and a place.

People should feel for the guy at my work is a Duke 998 and 9 points :p. All due to speeding and he still does. He quite often sees three figures on the long residential straight near where we work! (30mph limit). He is the type of guy that, if he got banned, would be everyone elses fault apart from his own:rolleyes:

2 years from a real licence. As in, when you actually pass your test...

Sorry to read this Binky. Blimey what is happening to the Madlanders lot?

At least it sounds like you just have 3 points coming and not too much longer on a 6 points max, so you might have to reel it in for a few months.

Back luck though. Get that Speedo fixed young man:smt045

+1

If your caught speeding in a built up area with parked cars and kids, imho you deserve a ticket and points. If your out on a country road thats when i get annoyed by cameras and cops with mobile traps (where i got caught).

Imho you should just get a fine unless your a long way over the limit (ie doing 90 in a 60 zone) then you get points.
