I have ICE in my Phone and I wear a U-Tag USB device around my neck on big bike jaunts and rideouts that involve anything further than my commute to work . My Wallet also has my Blood Donor card in it with Blood Group and my Organ Donor Card too .

ICE in phone. My Nokia phone has a group facility, so I just made up a group called ICE and added the relevant numbers to it.

Also I carry in jacket inner pocket and bumbag a list including ICE numbers, breakdown recovery number and where I want the bike recovered to. All inside a zip seal bag. Remember if the worst happens you may not even be conscious so somebody else will be dealing with the bike recovery.

We had this discussion at work at the start of the "biking season". I said I might get a diabetic warning tattood on me, possibly on a wrist or top of arm until one of the "all motorbikes are mobile coffins and all bikers are future organ donor" types said what if your arm gets chopped off in an accident and it just sort of went very downhill from there.

You could just invest in a medic alert tag. In the event of emergency, someone can call the number on the tag and read out your ID number and they will be told any relevant details about you (i.e. the type of diabeties you have, whether you are insulin dependant etc etc). Came in handy when my mum collapsed due to a hypo in a shopping centre.

In answer to the poll: I dont have any form of ICE in my phone. I really should though.

That's why a written copy (or several) of your details is useful, plus the phone may get damaged in the event of a spill.

I have ICE on my phone but since moving to a Password protected Blackberry I guess this is not so handy as they can't get to it!
Will have to think about that......
