I see, something worth considering for me then.

Anyway, lets get back on topic. The V-strom is great, but its not the greatest looker...and it is a MASSIVE leap from a supersports. what if you decid its not sporty enough?

Many go-faster bits from the TL will fit DL. Which is good, because they totally castrated them!

I find the muffs restrictive in terms of overal manouverability, its a bit more effort to turn the handlebars. The hand gaurds just about almost hit the fiaring on my curvy at full lock, but its better than the muffs, which squash agibnst the tank at full lock. The muffs can induce a little odd handling at higherspeeds, but ive done over 90 with the muffs, and no problems with pushing on the brake lever or clutch lever

hands always stay nice and dry too

handgaurds, however, save levers when you have to drop the bike.

nope, i just went ahead and fitted handgaurds
