But as said I have also been there around 3/4 times and had about 10 runs of the road in total and it's safe as houses for me??
To be fair if your a first timer there and following someone at stupid speed your bound to **** up.

Very true. I always ride at my own pace and don't get too confident even though I've been riding over that road since I started riding nearly 15 years ago (that's a long time...) so probably know it quite well really. Even then it's too easy to push it a bit much and scare yourself - it's learning from that that's the key, and then it becomes a lovely road that's dead rewarding and good fun :D
