I think that's terrible to be honest. It really bugs me. There were loads of cheers from the people round us when Lorenzo went down; and then when Rossi went past in the lead on the following lap. You'd think most of the crowd was Rossi's family from the way they act! I love Rossi, I'm a fan and he's a legend, but to cheer all his competitors when they fall over is stupid - he's got to have people to race against and push him or it wouldn't be flippin interesting would it?! :smt072

Indeed, that was pretty disgusting too. I witnessed people running on front of him giving him the :toss: signs and hearing the boos he got on the podium; and why? Because he provides interesting competition to Rossi.

I was on the infield side of the Foggy Esses for the race and on the cool down lap 'a lot' of people invaded the track. Sensibly, all the riders apart from Toseland revved through and didn't stop because they knew they wouldn't get going again. However, after a few minutes there were so many people on the track that a few of them were forced to ride across the grass to avoid people. Forced to ride a 240bhp machine on wet grass it's no wonder a few of the riders look a bit miffed when they get back to their garages!

Toseland hung around the Esses for a while and did a few burnouts etc, I think he just wants to spend as long on that bike as possible before handing it back at the end of the year! He's a good crowd pleaser :)

Ah I wandered why it took him so much longer than the other riders to come back to the pits.

He then came out onto the pit straight and lobbed his gloves into the crowd, he took off one boot and did the same with that, and then he knelt down to undo the other boot and got bundled by the crowd and couldnt get up again.

He's definately a crowd pleaser and seeing him in the pits signing stuff and nothing seemed like to much trouble for him I can understand why he has so many fans.

TBH I really think he was over the moon with finishing where he did and it was a top result for him, but I still dont think he is going to keep his ride for next year...

Pics looks pretty good especially if taken on a point and shoot.

Is that Lorenzo's bike being pushed through the tunnel ?

I think you can buy passes to the main paddock (I think someone mentioned £900 or so for those?)- not sure about the "MotoGP" paddock though -where the hospitality tents are -that might just be corporate favours etc-and is what gets you the lunch, meet the riders, garage tour etc...

Thanks - I'm sure I've got some better ones, and thse are just quickly reduced using Paint -but I'm sure I've got a few worth printing once cropped etc. The camera is a Panasonic TZ5 -so a reasonably good point and shoot granted, but my buddy brough a big expensive digital SLR so I'm sure his will be much sharper and brighter.

And yup, that's Lorenzo's bike.

EDIT- I was hoping a piece would fall off that I could pocket! :)
