A tankslapper is a vibration at a particular frequency that gains in force with each cycle.
And you must admit, making it waggle its head over bumps and on bumpy corners is great fun. Way more of a laugh than a perfectly composed bike.

Agreed 100%, but the only road I've found where my SV will do it every time is the one from Dunfermline in Fife up past the Knockhill racing circuit.
Maybe I'm not using the correct terminology for a regained grip 'tankslapper', but that's what most folk would call it.
I can tell you the last time it happened to me it was more than a twitch, the guy in front hit a wet solid white line and ended up having a twitch himself, 'cos he was so transfixed on watching me regaining control in his mirrors. Everyone on the ride out who saw it was convinced I was coming off and since we were at about 70 mph on a long left hander it wouldn't have been pretty.
