like mots others i didnt like LA all a bit greasy and sleezy, we went to macarthur park like in the song and it was full of mexican tramps picking their teeth with great big knives, very scary, venice beach was a big let down. the alkatraz tour in san francisco was good and we had an ex guard showing us around, you can also walk about in the city wheras in la you seem to have to drive every where. the immigration people are not pleasant either. having said all that ive just entered a competition to win a holiday to..... Santa monica is nice, vasquez rocks is north of LA and worth a an hour or two of your time, the mojave is just an hour north, its a bit other worldly but quite beautiful, driving,s a doddle cos everything goes at 5mph on the freeways, have a ride through beverly hills on sunset boulevard, it goes from multi million dollar stars homes to downright seedy in no time at all, be careful of going up to the hollywood sign, its apparently been taken over by mexican immigrants and its best to go up on a bus trip which is pricey. Its not like NYC or anywhere esle in the states tbh, its a bit er different tbh but worth going too, you,ll enjoy it.
