Re: Was I in the wrong?
Shame on you, she was clearly a plain clothed superhero on her way to save the world and you held her up!
.......either that or she was a complete expletive and you did good =p. Personally I'm positioned well onto the white line as so people can't easily overtake without going RIGHT over the wrong side of the road and undertakings not an option either. If they do see a spot where they think they can do this *you'll usually be able to guess where but even after 9 years some peoples stupidity still suprises me* I'll pull in and slow down as they overtake unless I can see they may end up putting us both in danger in which case I'll pick up the speed if I have to to prevent it. Classic examples of that are idiots trying to whip round in front of on coming traffic and have mis-judged the gap and will end up cutting you up badly or having to swerve into you etc, or having not seen a traffic Island resulting in the same. Sometimes I'm tempted to slow down as we come upto a traffic island or some such to goad them into over taking there and writing themselves off ...not done it yet though =p That said I'm taking my airsoft kit upto a mates tonight and will have Grenades in my tank bag....how hard is it to hit a moving sunroof at 30mph I wonder :) |

Let them past, take reg number and then let the Police deal with it... |
Re: Was I in the wrong?
This thread reminds me of Elmer Wray, who died upholding his right of way. His rights were clear, his will was strong, and he's just as dead as if he'd been wrong.

......is the RIGHT answer! When I was stuck in an office on recup duties, we dealt with a lot of these, they get a call and a warning about their driving at the very least and an intelligence log on the local system, if they get enough of these logs then future offences wont be taken so lightly. |
Re: Was I in the wrong?
ooh that's nice to know!
I always assumed they'd take your call and put you in the "crank caller" bin. By the way looking at your Avatar I think I know why your getting Tail gated =p |
