I use mine to stop from looping when the front comes up a bit sharpish. :-)

If you are quite new to riding, then the limiting factor is lack of experiance :) get out there, ride, and really try and understand about how your inputs and body position and even how you hold on affect how the bike behaves.

as for back brake, I use mine alot.but then i spend alot of time filtering in london, so its easier to use the back brake.

As soon as i got some Pirelli Diabalo's on and ditched the standard tires i was leaning the bike easier and a lot more confidently. I do need to sort out the front suspension though....
